Visual Water Therapy at Le Meridien Ra Beach

We are suckers for a room with a killer view.  We find that we are even more likely to forgive some minor hotel inconveniences if we can stare out the window at something pretty--yeah we are that shallow. Ooooh! It looks like the sea is right up in your hotel room! Almost like a cruise ship, except not scary and sinkable. And almost like your window is right on the water, except not scary during high tide.

This is a view from Le Meridien Ra Beach Hotel & Spa near Barcelona (via nora/sskizo), and it is a view out onto the hotel's "pool" — which is beautifully positioned to look, from your window and your hotel room's terrace, like you're right up against the sea on Sant Salvador Beach. The hotel is just steps from the beach itself if you want to take a dip — or you can swim in the hotel's outdoor pool, which is not this water right up against your hotel room window, thank goodness.

The resort is also home to Ra Wellness Thalasso Spa, one of the most well-known thalassotherapy centers in Europe. The spa uses purified Mediterranean seawater in its treatments: think seaweed therapy, Vichy showers, mud-therapy, and hydro-massage baths.

Rooms start around 180 Euros... but if you can't afford to go there, the hotel has a nice live cam that you can look at from your desk right now.
