This is what we love to see from the hotel housekeeping staff: outspoken, friendly, funny and an expert at the Miami Booty Shake.

Remember last fall's Florida hurricanes? Well the good folks down in the sunshine state are still working on picking up the pieces of their shattered hotels. In Daytona, about 3,700 hotel rooms of the cities 13,000, or so, were rendered useless by the storms, and many are still under repair. The damage is doubly troubling in Daytona, because the Daytona 500 is right around the corner (February 20, 2005), and after that the spring breakers invade Daytona, thus the city is expecting a real hotel room shortage during the coming months.
So book now, if you are heading down to Florida for racing or debauchery.
A moblogger traveling through Florida posted some nice photos of the Plaza Resort in Daytona. The couple snagged an oceanfront room for $75 a night, for 5 nights. Not too shabby, especially this time of year.
