The Man on the Flying Trapeze at Novotel
Last time we mentioned a hotel that included a circus school it was a little odd, Uruguayan and just for kids. We were bitter. But things have got a whole lot better down in Australia with Novotel Coffs Harbour starting up a Circus Flying Trapeze School for guests over three years of age, including adults.
At the moment it's just a summer holidays specialty (yep, it's still summer Down Under) but if it's a success, the Trapeze School will no doubt become a permanent feature of the packages offered by the resort. You can learn to swing, jump, hang upside down and fly through the air, to do what they describe as "daring performances on the trapeze".
Bargain prices of under $50 for one trapeze artist or $170 for a family of four apply. And you thought holidays were about lying by the pool.
