The eXtreme Hotel is all about kiteboarding. Well, kiteboarding and full moon beach parties.

Kiteboarding can be tough, but at least at the eXtreme hotel you will have plenty of fall backs. You can sun yourself on Kite Beach, hang out in the bar, or by the pool and use the free wireless internet access.

Wait a second, I don't thing these eXtreme folks will stand for your timid geekiness, here are some of the hotel owners alternative-to-kiteboarding suggestions:

If anyone in the Dominican Republic tires of the waves, there are other sports to try: a skateboard ramp for example. Guests can compete with each other in kiteboarding, skateboarding and tow-in surfing or "fling boarding.''

The hotels in the chain, called "eXtreme Hotels," will each have a signature sport, with lessons and equipment available to novices. Lee [ the hotel owner] plans to invite professionals to the sites to give lessons and mingle with vacationers.

Cool concept. Even if you are a extreme sport disaster you get to go to one of these parties.

We'll keep an eye on these eXtreme hotels.
