Bed & Breakfasts: No Longer Just For Old Rich Folks

When you think B&Bs you probably think of old stodgy British (or New England) houses with old school interiors and overly nice hosts.

While that stereotype still exists, there is a new clan of young urban entrepreneurs who are changing the B&B market. You know the type, a young couple who wants to ditch their harried city slicker lives, sell the stock and the loft, and start a new life up in Maine or rural England, as a hotelier. They buy an old farmhouse and fix it up and market it to career-weary weekenders.

So where can you find examples of these new urban style B&Bs?  All over the place, including the UK, the birthplace of the original B&B.  Dun Na Mara in Argyll is one such new urban B&B (UBB).
