Make Your Own Whisky. Drink It. Pass Out

November 10, 2005 at 4:08 PM | by | ()

Wanna take a shot at brewing your own whiskey? The Bruichladdich Distillery Academy in Islay allows boozers to make your own malt whisky. The Scots will teach you how to mash, mill, distill and bottle and drink a bunch of harsh whisky.

Don't worry about driving home, the Academy has six rooms, triaged by blood alcohol percentage we are sure. There is even a "Gun Room" downstairs, just in case you are a belligerent drunk.

The Academy puts together four-day packages and nightly rates.

Email Ella to see if the Bruichladdich Academy has availability.

THere are less than 1000 hotel beds in all of Islay, so you best not wait until the last minute in this part of the world.
