Golf Resort Sure to Please Tiger Woods Set for Portugal

Portugal is one hot place right now. It seems the travel media is going on and on about nights in Lisbon, drinking vinho verde, and the beautiful tourist-free beaches.
Well the way it's going, Portugal isn't going to be all so tourist-free for long. New hotels are sprouting up and the old guys are renovating. The trend is getting so big that golf resorts will be popping up soon which means Euro-golf lovers may be trading their cloudy Irish golf outings and Guinness-filled nights for sunny Portuguese golf rounds followed by vinho verde nights.
A five-star hotel, The Quinta da Ria, is now underway in Algarve's East Coast and will open in March 2008. The Robinson Group and World of TUI are behind the project, groups known for their respect to the environment during construction. Upon completion, expect Tiger Woods' and the likes to frequent this new deluxe resort:
The hotel will consist of eight, two-storey buildings with a rustic feel to the whole complex. The luxury accommodation will boast 185 bedrooms and 25 suites, with a total of 600 beds.
Adjacent to the hotel will be a health club as well as the Quinta da Ria Golf Club. The hotel developers believe that golfers will make up the majority of the clientele due to the close proximity of the two golf courses.
According to builders this project has been in the works for some time, but as for the mass trendsetters en route to Portugal, the place will open just in time.
