More Hotel Sickness
Hotels should be a relaxing, comfortable place to stay during a vacation, a weekend getaway or even on a business trip. Which is why we hate to be the bearer of such gross news but it's part of the job.
The four-star Imperial Hotel in Exmouth England is the latest hotel to fall casualty to a virus.
Guests staying there became infected with the highly contagious Norovirus. However, this story has a little twist.
The virus was already invading the hotel's surrounding community so the hotel let its guests know and gave them tips on how to not to get sick. This sounds socially responsible except the hotel did it via a letter placed in the guestrooms, essentially telling them AFTER they checked in.
But of course, some guests didn't see the letter in the rooms and became unnecessarily sick.
The hotel has since been disinfected but with such poor service or care for its guests it's doubtful that will matter.
