Cozumel is getting back on its feet after a few months of cleaning up after Hurricane Wilma.

Cruise ships are operating, stores are open, 3,000 hotels rooms are up and running, and now is the time to take advantage of their vacation deals.

One of those deals comes from the Meliá Cozumel Beach & Golf Resort which has just re-opened.

Meliá did not sustain any structural damage from Hurricane Wilma, but chose to seize the moment for a facelift: renovating the furniture, re-painting, and spiffing up its restaurants.

The are offering rooms for $87 a night, including taxes, which is basically 29 Starbucks tall lattes.

An upgrade to an ocean view room is a whopping $10. You gotta book by January 31, since the offer lasts only through February 28th.
